Mid-week report

  • Bad Hair Day resurfaces! Andy Katz has the story at ESPN: Quin Snyder to coach in the NBDL!. Yes Quin Snyder folks. I kid you not. This is not an April fools day joke! He will coach the Austin Toros, so at least he will be living in a fun city full of students, artists and such, where no one will be making fun of his hairstyle ;-) Maybe Coach K can schedule Snyder's team for an exhibition game. I'm sure the NCAA will give the Dirty Rat permission ;-)
  • Florida stands by Billy the Diva according to this AP story. According to that story Donovan's Florida new contract was set at 3.5 million per year for seven years - this right before he took the Orlando Magically Tragic job.
  • Goodman's Blog segment: Bruce Pearl tries to get Iowa transfer Tyler Smith eligible right away, Donovan's recruits indicate they won't flip-flop. Goodman also looks at BU's (Boston U) foreign tour to Taiwan (yes, not a typo), updates on two coaches who went from BCS to mid-major (Gary Waters at Cleveland State, and Buzzzzz Peterson at Coastal Carolina), and an update on the draft status of Boston College do-it-all Californian forward Jared Dudley... Check Goodman's blog for all the details.
  • Gary Parrish segment: He picks UCLA to be the top program in the next five years. Yes, UCLA. Yeah right! That team can't score! Howland is coaching like an obsessed possessed little-league dad reliving his playing days. Parrish bravely posts his top 15 in that story.
  • Scheduling segment: The Wooden Tradition field for 2007-2008 (played on December 15, 2007) is set! It will feature local teams Butler and Purdue and out of towners Florida State and Pitinoville (Louisville).
  • Roundup segment: March Madness All Season has posted their June 6 round-up
  • Rosters segment: Projecting the Kentucky Wildcats lineup for 2007-2008 (A Sea of Blue story)
  • Recruiting segment: The latest recruiting updates at Recruiting Wars.
  • History segment: Top 6 Centers at Kentucky (A Sea of Blue story)
  • DVD segment: Every 2007 NCAA College Basketball Tournament game on DVD!
  • Legal action update on the Illinois Native American mascot
  • The Best Man knows best? Jordan's best man joins him after failing (yes failing) as a college basketball coach.

The most flexible Father's day gift!, an Amazon gift certificate, ranging from $5 to $5000. This is a simple, yet very flexible way to pick up a Father's day gift.
